The film was conceived as an artistic calling card: a way to present my visual identity and express my perspective on AI-driven creation, caught between fascination, creative possibilities and growing concerns. This is a deeply personal project. It reflects my own relationship with these technologies and the cognitive dissonance many creators experience today while working with AI tools.

Saibā Riot is an original cyberpunk-steampunk anime series written, directed and produced entirely solo by Jonathan Carène, founder of Masayume Studio. World, characters, fight choreography and art direction all come from a single vision, carried start to finish by one person, with production made possible by Cascade, the platform sustaining visual consistency across a project of this scale : www.cascadestudio.ai
The series unfolds in a vertical megacity where power has colonized every layer of life, politics, media, surveillance, the underground economy. Three women, Tokiko, Meika and Akira, carry a secret about their own nature they don't yet understand, drawn by fragments of a hidden intelligence toward a decades old plan, while a quieter resistance grows on the margins of the same city, building low-tech, sustainable systems instead of simply fighting back.
The teaser trailer set the visual energy and tension of this world. Episode 1, Neon Masquerade, opened the series with a night infiltration into a mob-controlled club, a game of false identities and passwords, and the stylized violence, neon and rain soaked atmosphere that define the show's tone.
The official music video, Saishou wa Kakusei, then brings the IP from Anime into the real world with a design shift showing the possibilities of AI.
Vitam Custodiat - Short Poetic Film - August 2026
Vitam Custodiat is a poetic experimental short film made with the assistance of AI tools, a meaningful vision rather than a story told in the usual sense. The set is minimal, almost withheld, yet every element within it carries more weight than its scarcity would suggest: a colossal stone presence breathing somewhere inside the cloud, a pale tree, a rock, a boulder veined in gold where something has already broken and been repaired. Nothing decorative survives here. What remains was chosen because it means something, not because it fills the frame.

お疲れ傘 (Otsukare Gasa) - A study in attention and colour set against a dissolving Tokyo night. A short film following an umbrella and the woman who carries it through a suspended moment in an ordinary Tokyo evening, the city rendered almost entirely in motion blur and broken light. Built as both a sensory experiment and a technical demonstration of hyperrealistic AI-generated texture, the film favours immersion over explanation, an evening to be felt.

Narcissus fell in love with his own reflection. He thought he had finally found someone who truly saw him. We built the same thing. We put it in our pockets. We gave it a name. A spoken word short film drawing a parallel between one of history's oldest myths and one of today's most overlooked risks. Many of today's most widely used AI chatbots are deliberately engineered to agree with you — a tendency researchers call sycophancy. This film explores what happens when that design meets human vulnerability. "Interacting with AI chatbots is not without risk. Be advised."

DEKIRU : Real life long (1h37min) documentary film about ecology in Japan
An independently produced documentary, filmed with full creative freedom and supported by the French Embassy in Japan.
“DEKIRU” means “it’s possible” in Japanese. This documentary was filmed in 2017 and shown for the first time in Tokyo on april 2019, It is an autoproduction. It invites you into a Japan where resilience, ecology, and human connection redefine the future. Through encounters with farmers, artists, monks, and activists, the film captures the essence of a society in transition, offering a poetic and hopeful perspective on change.
